As the world stands at a climate crossroads, it is powerful yet humbling to think that our actions today will decide what tomorrow will look like for generations to come.
As we countdown to Earth Hour 2016 on 19th March, 8.30pm, switch on your social power and shine a light on climate action. This is our time to #ChangeClimateChange. Donate your facebook posts and help WWF and Earth Hour shine a light on climate action! Grab your own custom-made Earth Hour profile picture to show your friends you care at the EarthHour Website.
As millions around the world unite for our planet, you too can share what you believe in. There are a multitude of activities that can be carried out to show your support:
Get together with family & friends: hold a candlelit dinner party, plan a book club and discuss your latest good read, call or visit someone you've been meaning to catch-up with and enjoy an hour of quality time, make your favourite cocktails or have a wine tasting night.
Relax: go stargazing if it's a clear night, indulge in a candle lit bath, try yoga, read your favourite story or bring out the photo albums.
Get active: go for a walk, go for a night time run or cycle, or take the opportunity to do some exercise at home.
Have some fun: go back to basics with some old fashioned board-games, try face painting, go camping, plan an instrument, hold a night-time dance class or make up your own routine, build a den for your children, get crafting and take your own #CandleLitSelfie during the hour.
Get thinking: tell scary stories with the lights out, write a poem inspired by nature, make an Earth Hour resolution to live more sustainably, or wish upon a star for a brighter future.
Whatever you decide to do, show your love for our planet during Earth Hour and go dark for 60 minutes to spark awareness for Climate Change.
